Ouchi juku

Experience traveling back in time to the Edo period at Ouchi-juku in Fukushima!
When people in the olden days travelled south from the Tohoku region to Nikko or Edo (now Tokyo), they used a route that became known as Kaido. The clusters of eateries and guesthouses that sprouted up along this route came to form post towns. Ouchi-juku is one of these post towns. It was established around the year 1643, and has been frequented by the famous feudal military leader Toyotomi Hideyoshi and other important figures as a stop-over on their journeys.
