The Kurumayama Kogen is a plateau that straddles the cities of Suwa and Noichi in Nagano Prefecture. It is one of the highest of its kind at an elevation of 1925m. It is very popular for summer hiking and winter skiing. The grounds are equipped with parks, museums, tennis courts, and restaurants, and so it is very popular throughout the year.In addition to 600 types of alpine plants you can also see small animals. There are natural roads walkable for even beginners in place, and in seasons other than winter there is a lift that runs. The lift runs from the foot of the mountain up to the summit, and is divided into parts. It takes about 6 minutes to the halfway point and about 8 minutes to the summit. It’s great to enjoy the sky from the summit, but it’s also a good idea to get off at the halfway point and then climb to the summit.
