Ebino Kogen

Ebino Kogen (Ebino Plateau), located in the northern part of Japan’s first national park Kirishima Yaku National Park (present: Kirishima Kinkowan National Park), is a plateau at 1,200 meters, surrounded by southern Kyushu’s Kirishima mountains such as the popular trekking spots Kankokutake, Koshikitake, Ebinodake and Shiratoriyama, and is one of Miyazaki prefecture’s top tourist spots that is known as a hidden treasure with rich nature. In the north side of the plateau, there are volcanic lakes including Fudo-ike, Rokkannonmi-ike and Byakushi-ike. Ebino Park is also a very popular photo spot, where beautiful seasonal scenes can be enjoyed throughout the whole year.
