Kakita River Springs

The beautiful and vast Kakita River Springs, formed by years of melting snow of Mt. Fuji, boasts the highest spring water volume in Japan. Kakita River Park covered with rich nature features walkways for enjoying the waterfront up close. You will be entranced by the mystical scene of gushing pure water whipping up the sand, which can be seen from two observation decks in the Park.On the stone pavement at the “Yusui Hiroba”, also known as Pokopoko Wakima for its nickname, there are some places where visitors can actually touch the gushing water to feel the stream, pressure and the sand whipped up by the water.
